“A stage for national events and a preeminent national civic space for public gatherings because it is here that the constitutional rights of speech and peaceful assembly find their fullest expression.”
We have the perfect place. It’s the area defined by greater Circular Quay in Sydney stretching from Museum of Contemporary Art and First Fleet Park on the Western Side to ‘the toaster” at the east and spreading out across Alfred Street in line with Customs House. The area which could well be named “Circular Square.” Obviously some remodelling will need to take place.
